The Music of MuM
FILM SCORE - LYDIA DAVIES
Lydia Davies is a superstar Australian film composer who has written countless compositions for tv and film including for Hollywoodʼs blockbuster trailers such as Walt Disneyʼs “Beauty and the Beast”, Warner Brothers “Wonder Woman”, Harriet, Assassins Creed, Lady And The Tramp, Dumbo, The Mummy, Patriots Day, Law and Order; The Mendez brothers.
"My approach to the “MuM” score came from the desire to create an organic, raw and truthful music that both reflected the tone and captured the emotion of the stories told by the inspiring women in the film. To reflect the common themes of each woman's journey, I used a single note like theme that is interwoven throughout. I wanted the instruments to reflect the themes of honesty and realism, so I used live piano, strings and live cello as my main instruments in order to create a heartfelt score that captured the emotion of a live performance." - Lydia Davies
HONOUR - TEGAN NATOLI
The amazingly talented singer/songwriter Tegan Natoli wrote and recorded the original song Honour for the closing credits of MuM.
"Music is such a powerful tool to help assist with healing and emotions, and grief is one of those emotions. I wanted to create a song to give a voice to the families who have experienced loss but don't know how to articulate their grief. This song is a tribute to those families and the ones they have lost." - Tegan Natoli
